A Eurotrash Girl in Austin, Texas!

Sabina Palermo is an Austin-based jewelry designer and student at the University of Texas studying art history. She is also a great friend of Thriving Ink!

Why did you start your own line of jewelry?

I had the idea when I was living in Brighton, England. Coming from Austin and moving to another city where locals really embrace local creativity and local art. I wanted to tap into that and find an art form that I could create with, and it ended up being in the fashion/jewelry industry.

Why name it Eurotrash Girl?

Well, it started off as a nickname for me that some of my friends gave me based upon the fact that I was born in England and I am half Italian-American and that I am obsessed with almost everything European, from foreign films to vespas and especially to european styles and trends…and men!

What inspires your different pieces?

My biggest inspiration for all my jewelry are the things I love most in life; travel, culture, music, and art.

What is your price range?

Most of my accessories range from $10 to $40 depending on the pieces.

Where can I find Eurotrash Girl jewelry?

You can find it on my website, www.eurotrashgirlshop.com and you can also find them at Storyville in Austin and Atomic Cherry Botique in Austin.

Do you have any plans to expand from jewelry?

Yes, as i am finishing up my last semester at the University of Texas, I am definitely making plans to expand my accessories line to include belts and handbags and potentially t-shirts in the near future.
