Don’t forget to check out Flickr for quite the large archive of Thriving Ink photos. Basically, it is a collection of all of the photos we have taken over the past year plus some of our press and promotional photos! It is fun to look back and see how far we have come…

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We are spending Christmas in the Bay Area and eating lots of homemade sugar cookies as well as seeing all of our dear friends and family…
Dad and I loaded up the car and made the 25 hour trip from Austin to Pleasanton with the car full of presents, and diet coke for Jenelle. (Think the Polar Express minus the train…) Brenda, Matt, and Jake took the easy route–Southwest Airlines.
The Dronkers are now all together and excited to enjoy the holidays together (or eat a lot, whatever).

Merry Christmas from Thriving Ink and The Dronkers Family!
We are looking for friends who are interested in making some extra cash and spreading the word of Thriving Ink to your area. However, this is not your usual street team. This is an opportunity for you to make $5 for EVERY shirt you sell. How do we do this? Well, we give you a personal coupon code. Every time that coupon code is used, you get $5 a shirt. If you want a catalog- we’ll send it. Want some stickers to pass out with your coupon code? We will send those too.
Not only is there an incentive for you to sell the shirts (think Thriving Ink Independent Sales Rep) but there is also an incentive to buy. The coupon code will be for 15% off for all of your friends and fam to enjoy.

This is an easy way to make some money, especially around the holidays and a great way to get the word out about Thriving Ink. We want everyone to know that Thriving Ink supports artists. There is no better gift than wearble art.
If you are interested e-mail me at jenelled@thrivingink.com or message me on facebook. We have a TON of ideas on how to sell a ton of shirts and are more than happy to share them with you.
Don’t hesitate to pass this along to friends who may want in on the action. 5 bucks a shirt can add up really quickly if you think about it…

That’s right. Thriving Ink is relocating it’s headquarters BACK to California! The whole T.I. family will be heading back to the west coast for good in early 2009! We are all stoked to be back in our hometown of Pleasanton.
Austin is an incredible town. While living and operating here, we have gained good friends, loyal customers, and some great artist contacts as well! We will continue to keep our presence strong in Austin, and we will keep our relationships strong with our new contacts.
Do NOT think that Thriving Ink will be checking out of Austin completely. The family has big plans for the company in both California as well as Austin. All I can say is, stay tuned.
To all of you Austinites who have supported us in this period of growth, THANK YOU. Thriving Ink and the Dronkers’ family truly appreciate your backing for the last 6 months. Don’t worry, we are not leaving for good!
Now, to all of our friends and family back in California, we will see you soon! Thanks for the continued support that you have given us while we have been here in Austin. Although this town is great, it just isn’t home. Within the next 2 months we would like to unveil our new business plan (which is big and pretty exciting), so please be on the lookout and continue to spread the word.

AJ George in SF
peace.
I know that you have heard this a lot lately, but buying local really does have an impact on all of us little business people, as well as the city that we do business in. A new article came out this morning here in Austin which claims that if you shop at a local shop, $45.00 of every $100 stays in your town. This is in contrast to your city getting to keep $13.00 of every $100 spent at a chain store. That is a big difference! Plus, you are making a difference by actually helping a small business person thrive.
Today, December 18 has be proclaimed “Buy Local for the Holidays” day by our local government here is Austin. I think everyday should be “Shop Local” day no matter what town your in, don’t you? I know the Dronkers family is doing their best to spend our money at our favorite local shops and bazaars and we are having fun doing it! Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping!

Matt Decker of Premium Vintage and Tattoo is a great friend to Thriving Ink. Not only has he tattooed every member of our family (except poor little Jakey, who is only 13) but we have accumulated a total of 12 Matt Decker tattoos. He is quite the talented artist, not only with tattoos, but with sketch and paint as well! TI has talked before about doing some art collaborations with him in the past, and who knows, maybe you will see some in 2009! It turns out for all you lucky kids in the Bay that Premium Vintage and Tattoo are having a huge sale. Read about it here!
Premium Vintage will be having a huge 50% off sale on this Friday and Saturday (Dec 19&20)! Thats right folks EVERYTHING is on sale!!! Bags, Dresses, Pendletons, EVERYTHING! Come on down and say HI! We have three new shirts to commemorate Thriving Ink’s run in Austin, Texas. After living here for almost a year (time flies…) we have really been embraced by most of you Austinites. So thank you to everyone that welcomed us to Texas–you haven’t seen the last of us.

Designed by yours truly, they are available for pre-order here. Printed on American Apparel Organics!
15% off with coupon code ‘Austin08′.
These shirts will be available at the Keep Austin Bizarre Christmas Bazaar at the Storyville booth (along with other Thriving Ink tees) and later at the Storyville shop on Guadalupe.
We are now bringing Thriving Ink back to it’s hometown–Pleasanton, California. It’ll be good to be back in The Bay.
These Ken Marshall designs are on their way to the printer–and they were chosen by you in a facebook vote!
